At Alcon, we help our customers see brilliantly.  As the world’s leading contact lens and eye care manufacturer, Alcon is looking to hire Production Technicians to join our Manufacturing team in Johns Creek, GA. You will be responsible for participating in all aspects of production processes including but not limited to operating manufacturing lines, performing lot changes, improving yields, using calibrated measurement equipment, troubleshooting and using support equipment. Interact closely with other Production Technicians and Electromechanics to identify, communicate and perform corrective actions for lens inspection defects as necessary.

 

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Select and load raw materials, operate manufacturing lines and perform lot changes and cleaning per schedules and coordinate machinery downtime.

  • Troubleshoot equipment faults and enter product and raw materials data into MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).

  • Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments and conduct maintenance and 5s duties.

  • Perform corrective actions as needed or required.

  • Optimize maximum process efficiency and take action for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in natural work groups to define problems and implement solution.

  • Understand and comply with all Health, Safety and Environment guidelines.

  • Report unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses, and hazardous materials releases.

 

 

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

  • Work hours: 11.5-hour Shifts – 2-week cycle (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)

  • Travel Requirements: None
