As a Manufacturing Engineer Specialist, you will drive improvements in Motion NEMA Motors in Flowery Branch, Georgia. In this role, you will responsible for reducing standard and operation costs by implementing new cutting tool technologies and depending on experience, supporting manufacturing processes in electrical winding and assembly areas.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage capital projects, and justify tooling and equipment purchases, including "make vs. buy" criteria.
  • Accountable for all phases of project management, including tooling management and consolidation.
  • Design and initiate tooling and fixtures for new products and Change implementation, and depending on experience, support manufacturing processes in electrical winding and assembly areas.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement projects including but not limited to cycle time reduction.
Your background

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with minimum 0-2 years experience.
  • Preferred Experience Includes:
  • Project management, capital equipment justification, and applied computer controlled metal machining technologies, familiarity with various machine controls and be able to edit appropriate CNC programs.
  • Ability to utilize engineering computer programs (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), Microsoft Office, SAP, and our other manufacturing systems software/applications.
  • Welding, punch and die press operations, die casting, electric motor manufacturing and Lean manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
