The role reports to the Warehouse and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Manager and is located in Roswell, Georgia. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling, organizing and storing goods and materials, as well as ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.

Your responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the delivered goods against documentation
  • Inspect and report any damaged or missing items
  • Safely and efficiently store goods in designated areas
  • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse space
  • Implement and adhere to inventory control procedures
  • Retrieve items from the warehouse based on pick lists or orders
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging
  • Prepare shipping documents and labels
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely dispatch of orders
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories
  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment
  • Comply with company and industry regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and other departments
  • Report any issues, discrepancies or incidents promptly
  • Additional duties as assigned
Your background

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift or material handling equipment certifications desired
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including storage and inventory management
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment
  • Must be able to work in a physical environment affected by climate conditions such as heat, humidity and cold
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and use of warehouse management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes physically demanding environment
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
