As a Tax Technical Writer for FORVIS WNTO you will have the opportunity to increase recognition of the FORVIS brand as a national thought leader. Members of WNTO have a deep understanding of tax issues and proactively follow evolving legislation, guidance, and case law. As the Tax Technical Writer you will collaborate with other members of the WNTO, and the broader FORVIS team, to produce timely, relevant and insightful tax content in a variety of formats.

How you will contribute:

  • Monitoring evolving legislation and guidance and drafting timely tax news alerts
  • Writing knowledge share content based on insights and analysis of evolving legislation, guidance and case law in collaboration with other WNTO members
  • Collaborating with WNTO members to develop impactful materials for presentations and other connection points with the market
  • Creating clear communications for deploying service model platforms, strategies and solutions across the FORVIS tax practice
  • Building the FORVIS network of key relationships
  • Supporting communications and marketing around new service offerings

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex and evolving tax issues to the marketplace
  • Ability to efficiently read and understand evolving tax authority
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency and ability to produce high quality content under tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of communication channels and frameworks.
  • Continuous learning and a commitment to excellence
  • Passion for serving and developing others through impactful communications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation or Juris Doctor
  • 10 or more years of experience working with a large accounting firm, law firm, relevant tax policy making entity or a publisher of technical materials in the areas of law and taxation
  • Experience authoring and/or editing articles on accounting, finance or tax issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA license and/or J.D. / L.L.M
