Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leadership and development of continuous improvement projects, kaizen and workshops based in TPS/3Q6S method * Responsible for driving continuous improvement in productivity, on-time delivery, quality, safety, maintenance, cost reduction and training principles.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and TPS (Toyota Production System)

  • Operations time study, work balancing, MTM study and spaghetti map development

  • VSM and Logistics flow design * Apply FIFO, JIT (Just in time), JIS, Kanban, Two Bins inside Logistics flow Apply 5S, 5T, 5W+2H, Root Causes, Ishikawa, Impact and Effort Matrix, Seven Wastes and SWOT Matrix

  • LCA/Karakuri design and development * Implement Logistics automation (equipment's, pallet racks, load, and unload process)

  • Safety and ergonomics improvements (RULA, NIOSHI) * Standard work and OPL development (Spanish and English) * Plan for Every Part Development * Container load saturation analysis (Easy Cargo) Establish and monitor cost control programs (freight expenses, 3PLs, headcount, spare parts, services) and inventory control procedures, as well as develop the Logistics Cost Deployment

  • Support the creation and management of the yearly budget for the area. Manage performance to budget and cost control through analyzing and reporting on overall spend. Perform monthly analysis of "actual cost to budget;" and give explanations for significant variances. * Optimize the network of company-owned and 3PL warehouses, plan the arrangement of goods within the distribution center, as well as developing or implementing plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment buy or changes in space allocation or structural design.

  • Projects management

  • Excel worksheets and BI development

  • Ability to lead change management.

Education & Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of work experience in continuous improvement, and progressive management experience.

* Work history must show effective communication, analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities.

* Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, set up and meet deadlines, and respond to a changing environment. *

* Demonstrated experience devising and executing cost savings initiatives. * Experience in coordinating and handling complex activities.

Skills: * Ability to review and analyze business reports, such as profit and loss statement (P&L) * Able to analyze, prioritize and manage multiple tasks. * Knowledge in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, Microsoft Office * Knowledge in Business Intelligence tools (as Power BI, Qlik Sense or similar)0 * Strong project management skills * Strong teambuilding and leadership skills * Analytical and planning skills * Strong process skills, analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Regular attendance is essential along with the ability to work daily or weekly overtime as needed. * * Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
