This position will be responsible for supporting and assisting with commercial operations within Championship Management. Key responsibilities include assisting with tournament revenue plans, communicating revenue management best practices, track event level progress against annual goals and support development of activation plans for PGA TOUR Official Marketing Partners. This role also provides administrative support, developing presentations and other external communication, and facilitating key departmental projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Finance or other related field preferred

  • Minimum 4 years of sales and event management experience, ideally in sports, media or hospitality

  • Golf tournament sales or production experience preferred

  • Prior experience with data analysis and business insights practices preferred

  • Must possess strong Microsoft Office skills to include advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Must possess strong writing and communication skills

  • Ability to develop and implement detailed processes and protocols

  • CRM (Salesforce) and Tableau experience preferred

  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment

  • Thorough sales knowledge which includes prospecting, pre-qualifying, questioning, presentation, overcoming objections, conveying value proposition, listening, negotiating and closing sales

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Provide support for, and implement, various tactics that impact the overall management of Championship Management Commercial revenue goals - which includes annual sales planning process for each event (and associated goal setting/tracking, product positioning & pricing strategy, sponsorship strategies, bi-weekly team update calls)

  • Support leadership efforts to manage, communicate, and see through to completion Championship Management business standards/protocols with each tournament sales lead (e.g. support of the Sales Inventory Margin Mix (SIMM) process)

  • Manage tournament contract process, serving as primary contact for sponsors, Tournament Directors, and PGA TOUR Legal and Finance

  • May assist with planning, coordination, and tracking, of annual event activation plans of all PGA TOUR Official Marketing Partner's; including assisting with development of annual Official Marketing partner activation plans, financial tracking and communicating status/results to both client and internal parties

  • May assist with the implementation of client programs, tracking client investments, coordinating third party contract processes with tournaments and clients

  • Work closely with internal departments (e.g. Legal, Finance, Championship Management, TBA, PGA TOUR Digital, etc.) to successfully execute sponsors needs and champion PGA TOUR priorities/initiatives

  • Contribute to various revenue management projects such as future Presidents Cup host site planning/forecasts, SportsDigita resource development/management, non OMP multi-market consolidation and presentation.

  • Provide day-to-day subject matter expertise for tournament hospitality & activation dialogue with current or new OMPs developing their tournament strategies.

  • Support Activation Services business unit expansion including support of new business presentations and reporting of results

  • Manage communication with sponsors

  • Understand and maintain up-to-date financial tracking for all sponsors

  • Create client presentations, proposals, and other external communication

  • Develop new on-strategy ideas for clients, and identify internal process efficiencies

  • Provide administrative support for account teams

  • Special Projects or other duties as assigned
